The best investment!!! Love opening my eyes in the morning and seeing my clock without fumbling for my glasses

The most important aspect (obviously) is: they healed my eyes! But overall I had a great experience here, and chose them over less expensive (but still respectable) places. Every time I went, the staff made me feel very comfortable, and I even met with Scott Hyver himself on my first visit (which Ive heard is not standard practice - some people dont meet their surgeon until 5 minutes before they go into the surgery room). They were very patient and didnt make me feel like I was overly anxious. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a laser eye surgeon.

I had my all laser Lasik with Dr Hyver and his amazing staff took great care of me. You only see Dr Hyver for about 10 mins during the consultation and 5 mins during the procedure however the caring, kind, informative staff he employs speaks volumes about his judgment. I consulted with 2 other laser eye surgeons and went with Dr Hyver. It really just came down to who I liked he most since all the technologies were similar and price is about the same. You can use FSA to fund half the surgery/ procedure and CareCredit to fund the other half over 24 months. If you are thinking about it, I highly recommend coming in and asking your questions. Its a life changer!

As a Pediatric Neurologist, I researched extensively before choosing Dr. Lin to perform laser vision correction. I am pleased to say that 6 months ago I made one of the best decisions. Dr. Lin is an excellent physician who along with a stellar staff are exceptional in their delivery of care. Throughout the entire process I was impressed. As the medical students, residents, and fellows I teach know, that is not an easy thing to do. Thank you Dr. Lin for your excellent care.

To search for a lasik surgen, I searched the term wavefront lasik since this is the latest and greatest type of lasik. This office is one of the few places that came up on Google Maps. All the reviews seemed good, so I decided to have a consultation at their location in the city of Industry.I was shocked not only at the size of the office, but how busy they were. Granted, I did come in on a Saturday, but the amount of staff on hand really speaks to how much business the office normally gets. The consultation went very well. I was given a thorough eye exam to determine how well of a candidate I would be and what type of procedures would be best. By the end of the tests, I was confident enough in their abilities that I scheduled my procedure for the following Friday. The procedure itself went very quickly. Theres about an hour of prep time beforehand when they retake the eye exams just to make sure the machine is set up to give you the best results. The doctor talks you though every step of the procedure and tells you what to expect.I was most worried about keeping my eyes steady and possibly feeling the eye flap being cut, but it was actually a lot easier to do than I had expected. When the flap was cut, all I felt was something being put onto my eye and hearing a shucking sound. Right after I thought, I think they just cut my eyeball! Of course, the thought of what just happened was much worse than the actual event. After he lifts the flap open, the laser comes on for about 10-15 seconds. The flap is put back, and they do the other eye.You are taken to a dark room with a sofa right after to rest for about 15 min, then you can go home. You are given a tylenol and an ambien so that you can just sleep the rest of the day and take it easy. This was the part that I felt the most pain of the procedure. All it felt like was as if you are wearing contacts with some dust caught in between, or wearing contacts that are really old. Not really painful, just kind of annoying. I was already able to see clearly while walking out to the car. The next day there was still the feeling of old contacts, but as bad as right after the procedure. By Sunday it was almost unnoticeable. This was my birthday present to myself, and it is the best damn present ever! Dont psych yourself out about your eyeballs being cut open and all. Just focus on how much glasses and contacts suck.
